• Christmas Tree Assembly

  Ethelbert Road held their annual Christmas Tree Assembly today. The children came together in the hall to hang their decorations on the tree and to sing some festive songs. In good old  Ethelbert tradition the youngest and oldest child in the school switched on the lights 🎄🎄🎄

  

• Biscuithenge

  To bring our Stone Age to Bronze Age learning to life, this afternoon, Year 3 made Biscuithenge! We used shortbread biscuits and chocolate biscuit bars to represent the sarsen stone circles and horseshoe and custard creams to represent the bluestones. Afterwards, we ate some biscuits. This was because we are exceptional historians and wanted to show the wear and tear and damage Stonehenge has faced over the last 5000 years. It had absolutely nothing to do with us wanting to enjoy biscuits!

  

• Bronze medal win for Miss Brown

  Congratulations to Miss Brown and the England team who played amazingly in the Women’s Deaf Futsal World Cup to gain third place.

  Our Year R children’s photograph can be found in the KM first-class supplement. Our children have settled in extremely well and loving school life.

  

• Shakespeare Club

  This morning in Shakepeare Club, the children researched the characters of Hamlet. They worked hard to adopt  their character and create a freeze frame in groups. The rest of the group were able to guess which character they were portraying due to their fabulous understanding and acting skills. We are really looking forward to performing Hamlet at the Marlowe Theatre in June.

  Miss Brown is on her way to Brazil with the England Women’s Deaf Football Team. Good luck to you all, we will be cheering you on! Can’t wait to watch you play your first match agains Japan on Friday. We are so very proud of you 💜💛
