Letters & Sounds
Phonics
Miss F's Phonics Group
Today we are learning all about the j sound. Watch this video and see if you can join in with saying the sounds and reading the j words.
Can you find objects around your house starting with the j sound? Label each object with a j using a pen and some paper. If your child is able to hear the sounds in words, they could write the whole word or even a short simple sentence for each object. See the photos below for an example.
Mrs Haylor's Phonics Group
We are learning to spell words with adjacent consonants. For example: nest, stamp, tent.
Watch today’s video to find out more.
Read the sentences below and sound talk any challenging words.
A shrimp slept in a shell.
A crab crept into a crack.
An octopus puts on lots of pink socks with brown spots.
If you would like any extra work to go with today’s lesson, please see the attached worksheet.
