Term 1/2 Writing Tasks (optional)

Below are some ideas for writing tasks for you to complete at home if you wish. These are not compulsory homework and do not need to be handed in to myself unless you would like me see your wonderful writing!

Creative Writing Story Starters

1. I woke up with a start - something was in my room.  The wardrobe doors opened and it came out...

2. Everything stopped. Everything a statue all around me. Frozen in time.

3. "Help me!" Help me!" came a call from behind the steel door. 

Non-fiction Writing Tasks

1. Write an instruction booklet explaining how to play your favourite board game.

2. Write a review of a recent book you have read/film or tv show you have watched.

3. Write a letter to one of your teachers persuading them to introduce something new into school.
