Hi Blue Class,
Well done for a fantastic first week of home learning! I have loved being able to see pictures of your work and hear how much you have been enjoying your learning so far! Your fact sheets are great and I love that so many of you have picked such a wide variety of countries to learn about!
This week we have got lots more exciting learning to look at. We will be continuing to learn about our ‘Around the World’ topic this week during our Topic/ English lessons. We will also begin to look at different types of sentences this term. There is a fantastic video from the Oak National Academy for you to look at on Monday, all about simple sentences. This will help you as we learn about more complex sentences as the term goes on and when we are back learning in the classroom together.
In maths we are going to continue our learning on Statistics for the first part of the week and will then have a day of problem solving on Friday, I have found some fun problems that you can get stuck into this week!
Your afternoon activities are the same that you would normally have in school on those days (apart from Mondays where I have moved computing to the afternoon so you can look forward to it all day!) Remember the outline of the day is there as a guide, if you find it works better for you and your family to learn different things at different times, go for it!
Check out our ‘Extra Challenges’ section if you want to do some extra learning, there are challenges linked to English, Maths, and some afternoon topics, as well as things that I find that I think you guys might find interesting.
Remember I am here if you need me, Be Kind to yourselves and your families, Be Ready to enjoy your learning at the times that work for you and stay Safe.
I miss you all and can’t wait to see you when we are back in class again!
