Letters & Sounds
Miss F's Phonics Group:
Today we are going to start by playing Flash Card Time Trials. Click on the link below and select all the sounds up to to play.
Today we are going to learn the new sound . It's another digraph which means the two letters together make one sound. Watch this video to find out more:
Now think of as many things/words that start with the sound. You can draw pictures or have a go at writing a list of words. (At this stage, we wouldn't expect the children to be spelling these words correctly. They just need to say the words and write the sounds that they can hear.)
Mrs Haylor's Phonics Group:
Today we will be learning the new grapheme ie.
Here is today's video:
Play Buried Treasure, selecting the grapheme ie.
Can you spot and highlight all the ie sounds written in this postcard? Read it carefully and blend any challenging words.
Mrs Willis' Phonics Group:
We are learning to explore alternative pronunciation of the ch grapheme. Watch today's video to learn more.
Practice the alternative pronunciation of ch by playing Acorn Adventures. Make sure that you select the 'ch' grapheme.
I have included a worksheet if you would like further practice.
