Unit 7: Addition within 20

 

Let’s begin our lesson by reminding ourselves of the number bonds to 10 as we will be using our knowledge of number bonds to help us with our maths learning today.

 

Today’s Learning Focus:

 

Today, we will continue from yesterday’s lesson, learning to add a 2-digit number to a 1-digit number by adding the ones.

 

We are going to use our number bonds and show our calculations using a part-whole model. You are all familiar with this as we used part-whole models regularly in our maths work last term.
