As we have been writing about The Very Hungry Caterpillar in Literacy this week, I'd like us to learn more about caterpillars and butterflies in Science too!

Activity

Now you know all about how a caterpillar becomes a beautiful butterfly, can you draw the life cycle of a Butterfly?

You might like to think about the four stages shown in the video; the butterfly starts as an egg, hatches as a caterpillar, after eating lots the caterpillar hides in a cocoon as it starts to change and finally a butterfly breaks out of the cocoon.
