Hello from Mrs Stembridge and how to pronounce the digraphs this week.
This week our focus is OU (as in shout) and OW (as in town). They both make the same sound! Have fun watching the videos and doing work about these two digraphs. You could also look on Phonics Play and play games to boost your learning this week. It is also important to understand that there is another way to pronounce the OW digraph (snow, glow, low ) and we will be looking at that digraph in the future.
If you are really good at reading these sounds, see if you can think up and write your own sentences using both of these sounds?
