Welcome back Message

smileyTuesday 5th January 2021frown

Welcome back to (home) school Yellow Class!  I hope that you all enjoyed your Christmas break and I can't wait to find out about all the gifts which Santa left for you.  I also hope that you have kept safe and well and have enjoyed some fun activities at home.

A huge thank you to all of you once again for our ever so generous Christmas cards, gifts and vouchers.  Your kind messages meant so much to me, Miss Moseley and Mrs Castle.

It is, once again, time for us to learn remotely to help stop the spread of the coronavirus and protect the NHS.  Please remember to keep being safe at home too.  We were all so proud of your excellent hand washing and sanitising routines when we were at school.

This term, our new topic is China, and we will be starting off by hearing a traditional Chinese tale called The Magic Paintbrush.  I really love this story and  I think that you will too.

Please take a look at the Remote Learning pages to find out about our learning for the first two weeks of term.  Just do what you can and please don't worry if you can't get everything completed.  We all learn differently and some of your grown-ups will be trying to work from home too.

I will be in touch with you throughout these two weeks, and don't forget that you can email any messages or questions to: y2@ethelbert-road.kent.sch.uk

Be safe, be good, be happy. We will all be missing you.

Love Mrs Kelleher

Learning to be emailed to me for Feedback

Please email me one piece of learning which you have completed this week and that you are especially proud of.  Please try not to send me any Maths since you will be marking this with your grown-ups.* How about a photograph of some of your written questions about China or some of your writing about the 4 different types of sentences?

If you could email them by Thursday 7th January (evening) then that gives me Friday to have a look and prepare to give you feedback on your learning.  Thank you.

NB. If you don't want me to upload a photo of your home learning to the website, but you just want me to see it, then please indicate this in the email - thank you.

* Of course, I'd love to hear how you're getting on with the Maths, so maybe you could let me know by emailing me!

Photos of Home Learning/Home Experiences for Keeping in Touch

Please feel free to email me photos of the children participating in activities at home (which I can then upload to the website).  This is a really nice way for the children to see their friends and feel like they are keeping in touch with each other.
