Faversham Literacy Festival 2023
 

Congratulations to everyone who entered The Faversham Literacy Festival this year. James, Year 4 received second place, with his short story Bob the Naughty Polar Bear. Alfie (Year 4) and Arthur (Year 4) receiving highly commended. There will be a presentation at the Guildhall on Saturday 17th February. James’ story will be read by the children’s author Penny Chrimes.

Congratulations to Dylan for his wonderful poem which was selected as a finalist in KENT'S BIG WRITING CHALLENGE.

Faversham Literary Festival Creative Writing Competition

Each year, our children are encouraged to participate in a local creative writing competition run by The Faversham Literary Festival. Every year group submits entries, and we have been highly successful in gaining awards for our children. This year (2022) our children dominated the awards ceremony, with winning entries read by children's author Lucy Strange.

Live Canon Poetry Awards

We love writing poetry at Ethelbert Road! For the past two years, we have submitted our children's wonderful poems to the Live Canon Awards, and once again, we have been delighted to see our young poets gaining awards. All winning poems are collated in a Children's Anthology of Poetry (see gallery).
