Assessment

At Ethelbert Road we assess RE through the Kent Agreed Syllabus and the learning objectives. Teachers and support staff routinely call back to previous learning to ensure that pupils are keeping up and therefore negate the need to catch up at a later stage. Children have an RE book which follows them through the year groups, showing their progress in the subject throughout the years. Teachers are able to use these, in conjunction with discussions with the children in order to assess the learning and understanding of pupils.

 Assessment attainment is recorded on our assessment system, Insight Assessment. The data is collected twice a year and analysed by the subject leaders. The outcome of the analysis is presented to the senior leaders and interventions and strategies are planned
