Hi Blue Class,
Welcome back to another week of remote learning, you are doing such a fantastic job and I can’t wait to see what you get up to this week in your learning. Last week I was SO impressed with your AFOREST work in English and loved seeing some of you reading your persuasive writing out loud. Head over to the gallery to see each other’s fantastic learning from last week!
This week we are going to be carrying on with our English and Topic learning from last week. We will be learning about compound sentences (sentences with two main clauses), places in Norway, spelling links and rules as well as carrying on with the next chapter of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ (we’re very close to the end now!).
In Maths we are moving on to learn about money, so see if you have any coins and notes around to look at or have a look at the twinkl money I have uploaded for you on Monday. There are lots of maths videos to have a look at this week as we explore the topic of money. Perhaps you could set up a shop at home to buy and sell things to your siblings and grown-ups?
There are lots of exciting activities for you to explore in the afternoons and in the Extra Challenges tab. Have fun and enjoy your learning!
Remember I am here if you need me, whether you’re stuck or confused, not sure what to do or just want to show off your fantastic work, you can email me any time. I will always try to reply to emails by the end of the day (or the next day if they are sent later than 4:30).
Please be kind to yourselves and remember that we are living in very strange times and some days we may be really productive and do lots of learning and other days it might be a lot harder and we won’t get as much done. I can’t wait to see you all when we get back to school, I want to hear about all the fantastic things you’ve got up to, whether its your school work, baking, playing, walking, snuggling up under a blanket with a book or a film or anything else!
