Art
We are going to continue with our Ancient Egyptian theme in Art but we are also going to link this with our new topic - Rivers. So Mrs West would like you to create some 'Papyrus Art' this week. Papyrus is a type of paper that the Ancient Egyptians made by arranging layers and layers of strips of the papyrus plant, which was a reed that grew in the marshy areas surrounding the River Nile. Papyrus is where we get our modern word 'paper' from and is believed to be one of the oldest forms of 'paper' dating back to around 3000 BC.
You will be creating your own version of papyrus and using it as the 'paper' for drawing your own Egyptian art upon. Enjoy!
