Term 3, Week 6 (8th - 12th February)

Hi my wonderful, amazing, fabulous Red Class,

First of all, finally there’s snow! I know some of you have been eagerly anticipating its arrival and I hope you had a lovely day enjoying it. Snow doesn’t last for long, so please make the most of it and get outdoors today! I know you will all be keen to get on with this week’s learning but please remember to take time for some fun too!

Week 6! Wow! This term has been so sad without seeing all of your beautiful faces. I’m missing you tremendously but with each week, I know that I am a week closer to seeing you all.

This week is a little different than usual because the WHOLE SCHOOL is taking part in our very own Bird Week for RSPB’s Big Bird Watch. The activities this week should get you outside a little more and up close with nature because we know sometimes learning can involve tons of screen time at the moment. To make your learning a little more straightforward too (I hope), I have made you a short Loom each day for your Maths/Science tasks. We are teaming up with Year 3 this week so some of your learning has been planned by your previous teacher, the fantastic Miss Tucker.

And to finish this week’s message on a high, I have three short notes. Quick celebration #1: Our Nessy Nugget champion this week is Alyssia. Congratulations on all of your hard work lovely girl! (Big round of applause!) Quick celebration #2: 5 more school days and then it’s half term. YAY! Quick celebration #3: I have chosen three Stars of the Term. People I am grateful for every single day who always support me and who I depend on. People who I am so inspired by and who have achieved greatness this term and finally, people who I adore and who have made me so proud this term. Did you guess it correctly? It’s the Ethelbert Road TAs and teachers, your incredible parents and YOU!yes

Sending you lots of love and hugs,

       Miss Constantine xx

p.s. For those of you who have enjoyed and want to quickly finish off our Rivers topic (perhaps over half term), I have put some resources in the extension folder below. I have also finished off reading our class text, There’s a Pharaoh in the Bath for you. I hope you enjoy it!

p.p.s. On Wednesday afternoon, we will be making bird feeders. Please be aware that you will need some materials and nuts/seeds for this task.
