Letters & Sounds

Miss F's Phonics Group:

Today we are going to continue to read sh and ch words by playing the games below. You just need a dice and these sheets. Each time you roll the dice, read a word that corresponds to that number. Then colour in that word so that you can choose to read a different word next time. I've put a photo below to show you.

If you would like a challenge, can you write a sentence using a word from each word sheet?

For example: The shell is on the sand.

Remember that sentences start with a capital letter and end with a full stop.

Mrs Haylor's Phonics Group

Today we will be learning the tricky words:

oh

their

people

Practice

Practice these tricky words by saying and then writing them onto the sheet.

Tricky Word Handwriting Practice

Practice today's tricky words by writing them down in your neatest handwriting.

Can you read these sentences out loud and sound talk any difficult words.

Some people play loud sounds on horns.

Oh! I found a crayon.

Do people play with their sprouts?

Reading Comprehension

I have found a great reading comprehension all about volcanoes! There was lots of volcanic activity during the time of the dinosaurs!
