Term 3, Week 4 (25th - 29th January)

Good morning Red Class,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend - although I’m sure many of you were disappointed with the lack of snow! Hopefully you got a chance to relax after another super busy week of learning.
We’re now entering Week 4 of this term - wow! You’ve all been working so unbelievably hard and I am so proud of you all and your wonderful parents for being awesome! I’d like you to try and do a good deed this week to show your families how much you appreciate them - perhaps you could offer to do the washing up or hoover the carpets. Maybe some of you budding young chefs could even cook a meal for your families?

This week, we are moving on from Ancient Egypt (sort of, though we will be returning) to learn all about Rivers. We will explore what a river is and how is changes the land around it, where some of the longest and more famous rivers are located and how important rivers are and their many uses.
We will also be battling against Blue Class on TTRockstars this week. This isn’t going to be an easy battle - though they are a whole year younger, Year 3 are times table superstars BUT I know that we can beat them because YOU ARE GIANT SUPERSTARS TOO! Try your best to rack up some points through the week and I look forward to announcing our MVPs on Monday morning.
For now, we still have our Nessy heroes to celebrate. You guys have been doing an amazing job earning your nuggets. However, I am delighted to announce that...for two weeks running...Sam C has earned the most nuggets! YAY! Congratulations Sam and keep up the hard work. We are all very proud of you!

I hope you enjoy your learning this week and please remember that, just because I don’t see you every day, you are ALWAYS in my thoughts and I LOVE speaking to you all. So please keep in touch to let me know about all of the fab things that you are up to, ask for help if you’re stuck or to share all of your EXCEPTIONAL learning.

Sending you all lots of love and please keep yourselves safe,

       Miss Constantine xxx

P.S. This week’s Science lesson requires CHOCOLATE (What a shame!😂) so, if possible, make sure you have a chocolate bar available for Thursday’s lesson.
[I wasn’t clear with my initial note so to clarify, the chocolate bar needs to be plain (e.g dark, milk, white) as opposed to something like a Mars or Twix. Thank you]
