Information Texts – Reading Activity

For the next two weeks, we are going to be learning about non-fiction, factual, information texts.  This week, we will link our writing in English to our Topic learning all about The Great Wall of China (and next week, we will be learning and writing about Schools in China).

 

Task 1

How many non-fiction books do you have?  Can you sort some of your books into fiction and non-fiction?  Are there any features that you notice about non-fiction books?

Can you read through the texts (PowerPoint below) about Pandas, Elephants and Tigers?  Can you then use a ticklist to tick off these features:
