SPELLING
Each week, we will have a different spelling focus. We will learn our spellings in class on a Monday, looking at different spelling rules, letter strings, homophones, prefixes, suffixes, root words and so on. We will frequently explore two further common exception words per week on Sir Linkalot. These may sometimes be linked to our spelling learning that week.
Children should practise their 10 spellings at home throughout the week ready for a check on Friday.

This week, we are learning words with the suffix '-ous', where the root word changes in a number of ways (take of the e - unless it ends '-age', remove the u, replace the y with an i).
