Term 3/4 Kent College Relays

We are invited to enter teams for the forthcoming cross country fixtures. Letters will go out next week.

  • Saturday 4th March  10am
  • Friday 17th March 4:45pm

Race Times

  • 10:00 am - Pre School
  • 10:02 am - Reception
  • 10:05 am - Year 1
  • 10:10 am - Year 2
  • 10:15 am - Year 3/4 Relay
  • 10:35 am - Year 5/6 Relay

Please arrive at least half an hour before your race in order to collect your race number from Mrs Calzada.

Kent College Cross Country Races

Terms 1-2 2022

I am pleased to report that, once again, Ethelbert Road have been invited to participate in the Kent College primary school cross country races. The dates for Terms 1 and 2:

Friday 30th September (4pm-5:30pm)

Saturday 12th November (10am-11am)

Saturday 3rd December (10am-11am)

If you would like your child to participate in any of  these events, please could you return a reply slip to the office by Thursday 29th September. I attach a letter which explains how the events run. A copy can be collected from the office on Monday.

On Friday, Mr Mullender will attend the event. On the following Saturday mornings, Mrs Calzada will attend the events.

4:35pm - Reception

4:40pm - Year 1

4:50pm - Year 2

5:00pm - Year 3 and 4 Relay

5:25pm - Year 5 and 6 Relay

Kent College Athletics Events

Terms 5/6

Kent College will be holding primary school athletics events over the next two terms on the following dates:

  • Saturday 30th April
  • Friday 10th June (time to be confirmed)
  • Saturday 18th June

Pupils from Reception to Year 6 are invited to participate in these events:

  • turbo javelin
  • long jump
  • sprinting

Simply turn up and register at the desk for the events in which you wish your child to compete. The first races begin at 10am.

This term, there will be two cross country events at Kent College. Please complete the reply slip attached to the letter if you wish your child to participate. Paper copies can be obtained from the office.

I am unable to attend the first event, so Mrs Silcox has kindly offered to give out race numbers on the day.

Here are the times for the relay races this coming Saturday:

  • Year 3/4 race - 10:20am
  • Year 5/6 race - 10:50am

Please try to arrive at least 30 minutes before the race time in order to collect race numbers from Mrs Calzada.

Well done to all our Ethelbert runners who competed on Saturday! Such stamina, determination and kindness from our amazing children! It was so lovely to see you all supporting each other and cheering everyone on.

Kent College Cross Country Races

Saturday 16th October

 

Many congratulations to all the children who competed at the first cross country event of the season on Friday 1st October. It was great to see our Ethelbert runners in action again and such a joy to watch the Year 3/4 relay team charge to victory!

 

The next event on Saturday morning begins at 10am, starting with Reception class. The Year 3/4 relay race takes place at 10:30am and the Year 5/6 race at 11am. I advise arriving at least thirty minutes before the race is due to begin in order to collect your race number from me.

Friday 1st October

 

Here are the race times and distances for the Kent College event on Friday 1st October:

  • 4:30pm - Pre-school 100m
  • 4:35pm - Early Years/Reception 150m
  • 4:40pm - Year 1 400m
  • 4:50pm - Year 2 400m
  • 5:00pm - Years 3/4 relay teams 3 x 850m
  • 5:25pm - Years 5/6 relay teams 3 x 850m

 

Regarding the BBQ, competitors will be eligible for a free item through the use of their race number and food tokens. Spectators and second items will be charged at £1 per item. 

 

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your race in order to collect your race number from Mrs Calzada.
