Learning: To sketch pictures of desert creatures

 

Mrs Willis has planned this lesson for you:

Find pictures  in books or online of a selection of desert creatures ; scorpion, lizard, tarantula, snake.

Today we are looking carefully at the anatomy of those creatures and drawing them.

Look at how the creatures’ bodies are made up – different parts –abdomen, head, legs etc. Remember what you know about observational drawing ; draw what you see not what you think you can see!

It may help if you use a viewfinder (see last lesson of Term 5; drawing leaves) to focus on particular parts of your creature eg eye, skin, feet!

 

This will help when we make our desert creatures, to make them as realistic as possible!
