Week Beginning: Monday 20th June

Maths: Multiplication

We will recap counting fluently in steps of 2, 5 and 10. The children will develop their ability to recognise and find equal groups of numbers and say how many groups of numbers there are. They will also learn how to add equal groups of numbers together to find a total. Finally, the children will learn to recognise, understand and create simple arrays. They will link this representation to their learning about repeated addition. 

English

We will be writing our own stories based on 'The Koala Who Could'.

Topic

We will be exploring Australia and where it is in the world. We will develop our mapping skills by introducing the children to a compass and exploring what north, south, east, and west are. We will also learn about Australia's climate and weather.
