Ethelbert Road has a dedicated Creative Arts Lead, who not only runs our Shakespeare Club, but uses all the skills and techniques to up-skill staff to ensure creativity is embedded into our curriculum and beyond. These skills are used to deliver workshops linked to topics and to enable our children to take part in shows in different environments. This includes performing on stages, outside in our locality and in our school.
With links between creativity and mental health already well-established, research also shows that young people who study creative subjects are more likely to do well at school, be more employable and become more active, engaged citizens.
