  • Sports Day

    Sat 20 May 2023

What an amazing sports day we have all enjoyed yesterday. The children all showed great team spirit and resilience in everything they did. We are extremely proud of how they participated in races, cheered each other on and demonstrated great sportsmanship. Well done to our joint winners Athelstan and Egbert.

The children celebrated on their return to school with an ice lolly.

  • Netball Team

    Thu 18 May 2023

On Wednesday we attended the Herne bay sports partnership netball tournament at St Edmunds school, and I am very pleased and proud to say we finished in 3rd place and collected bronze medals. We were the only small school to make it through to the semi finals in a highly competive and difficult tournament.

I couldn't be any prouder of this group of 7 for the effort, determination, hard work and willingness to adapt to each game situation.

  • The Kings Coronation

    Sat 06 May 2023

Ethelbert Road celebrated the Kings coronation yesterday with a special assembly. The Scout, Guide, Cub and Brownie community planted a special Coronation bed designed by James in Year 3, we created a whole school picture using our finger prints, and each child received a commemorative medal.

  • Year Two Trip to the Farm

    Sat 06 May 2023

Year Two’s trip reported by the children.
    By Sophie Rew:
On Friday Yellow Class went to Mrs Clinch's Farm. First we got in the two minibuses in groups. When we arrived we got out our compasses and maps and saw where we were going. Then we went to the hops and looked at the cleaver. Cleaver is sticky and Mrs Clinch stuck some to her coat!
    By Chloe:
We walked up the hill ... it was a very muddy path! Then Mrs Clinch showed us a place where we could sit and eat our biscuits. After that we went into the woods and made some amazing dens.
    By Anton:
Finally we set off back to Ethelbert Road but before we left we got to feed the horses with carrots.
    By Sofia:
It was a great trip and my favourite bit was exploring the woods.

  • Kent Life Visit

    Sat 06 May 2023

Year 3 had an amazing time at Kent Life for their Roman Day.
They participated in lots of exciting activities and learnt lots about the Romans. The children particularly enjoyed meeting the Centurion and forming the turtle defence move.
