A huge thank you to our families who donated books for our children to learn about diversity and inclusion. At Ethelbert Road we celebrate differences, including race, gender, religion, disability, and sexual orientation. Inclusion at our school means creating an environment where every individual feels valued and respected, and where everyone has a sense of belonging.
Year 6 Book Club is well attended this year! We are reading 'Tyger' by SF Said.
Ethelbert Road won a Kent Literacy Award for 'Best Library'. We are extremely proud of our library and how it supports children to have a long life, love of reading. Whether the children become immersed in our wide range of fiction books, or learn to speak like a scientist, historian or geographer, our amazing library has it all. We aim to foster a culture of reading for pleasure, as well as reading to support learning and future career choices.
