Features of Instruction Texts - Planning for Writing

 

Task 1:

Read through the PowerPoint/documents below to learn about Instruction Texts.  Talk to a grown-up and tell them about some of their features.

 

 

 

Task 2 - Planning for tomorrow's Writing

• Plan out your task – what will you write instructions for?
• Make a list of imperative ‘bossy’ verbs which you might use.
• Will you use any adverbs?  Make a list of some of the ones you might use.
• Make a list of sentence starters/time conjunctions (First, Next, Then…)
