Representatives of the winners of our wake and shake competition in Year 3 attended a wake and shake showcase this afternoon. They performed their dances brilliantly and had the biggest smiles. Well done everyone!

Science - Light

In science today we used mirrors and torches to explore how light can be reflected.

Year 3 have been learning about the changes from the early to late Stone Age and into the Bronze Age period, focussing on the changes in sourcing food and rise in farming. Late Neolithic and Bronze Age people would have kept cows, which enabled them to get milk and, later, make cheese. So we decided to attempt to make our very own Prehistoric Cheese and we think we did a very good job!

To bring our Stone Age to Bronze Age learning to life, this afternoon, Year 3 made Biscuithenge! We used shortbread biscuits and chocolate biscuit bars to represent the sarsen stone circles and horseshoe and custard creams to represent the bluestones. Afterwards, we ate some biscuits. This was because we are exceptional historians and wanted to show the wear and tear and damage Stonehenge has faced over the last 5000 years. It had absolutely nothing to do with us wanting to enjoy biscuits!
