Green Week

Last week we celebrated Green Week in school. Mrs Willis started the week with an assembly to introduce this year's theme, " Make a Pledge for the Planet."

We talked about how everybody pledging to do one small thing to fight climate change and stand up for nature will, collectively, have a big impact. All the children in Key Stages 1 & 2 wrote a pledge or promise ranging from; using both sides of a piece of paper, not leaving games consoles on standby and turning off the lights in empty rooms to; eating more vegetarian food and turning gardens into nature reserves! All the pledges are on display in our entrance corridor. Children in Orange Class shared the books, " Dinosaurs to the Rescue" and " Greta and the Giants" to inspire a class discussion.
