We celebrated World Book Day by reading some of our favourite books and listening to some of our favourite stories. We started the day with a special assembly and finished the day with Year 5 and Year 6 taking part in a rap battle using the stories written by Julia Donaldson. Here are a few photographs of the day, with more to follow. Thank you to all our families for the amazing book character costumes.

Year 1 and Year 5 enjoyed some buddy reading time. Our older children enjoy reading to their buddies and sharing their love of reading. Books really do take you on a magical adventure and when a story is shared it becomes even more magical

Congratulations to our children who gain first place, second place and commended awards at the Faversham Literary Festival. Stanley's winning entry was read by the author Jack Meggitt-Phillips who was blown away by the quality of his writing. The organiser was so complimentary about our children's writing. She read extracts from their poems and stories to the delight of our children! Parents were so proud! A lovely ceremony and so nice to see our children shine!
