This term our topic is Traditional Tales. Please take a look at our curriculum newsletter in the curriculum tab. Our focus story this week is The Gingerbread Man.

If you do not have the story book at home we have added the story below for you to watch. See if your child can retell this story to you. Perhaps they can add in some actions - they could do a running action every time they say the repeated refrain "Run run as fast as you can, you can`t catch me I`m the gingerbread man."

Topic Activity

Make your own Gingerbread man. Draw the shape first and cut it out neatly. Then give give him a face and buttons. Use this Gingerbread man to retell the story. Use farm animals and toys you have at home as props to support your storytelling.
