Sir Linkalot Spellings

Discreet Dahl

This week, we will explore the homophones found in the level 3 bundle: Discreet Dahl. Remember, homophones are words that sound very similar; however, they have different meanings and are also spelled differently. I hope Sir Linkalot's video clips will help you to understand these homophones and feel more confident about the spellings!

As this week is National Storytelling Week, I would like you to listen to an extract from one of Roald Dahl's books, 'Boy: Tales of Childhood'. The book tells of the author's early life, and in the extract, below, he tells of his fondness for certain sweets.

Did you know...?

  • Roald Dahl's father was Norwegian.
  • Mrs Calzada's favourite sweet, as a child, used to be Sherbet Dips.smiley
