  This week we are going to look at the poles on a magnet. A magnet has a North Pole and a South Pole (can you think of anything else that has a North and South Pole?) If the same poles are facing each other, the magnets will repel each other (they will move away from each other). If two different poles are facing each other, the magnets will be attracted to each other (they will move closer together).

 Have a look at the PowerPoint and website link below to learn more, then, complete one of the sheets attached (there are three different difficulties so pick the one that you find most interesting to complete, then check you are correct with the answer sheet.

Challenge: Can you find out how a compass works and what it has to do with magnets? (I will give you the answer on our science page next week!)
