Jigsaw Scheme

At Ethelbert Road we currently use the Jigsaw PSHE scheme to help us deliver our PSHE curriculum. In this scheme each year group looks at the following 'puzzle pieces' once a year:

• Being me in my world,
• Celebrating difference,
• Dreams and goals,
• Healthy me,
• Relationships,
• Changing me

Each year group looks at each of the different 'puzzle pieces', which allows the learning to be built upon each year.

 In addition to each of these puzzle pieces PSHE lessons may also focus on issues affecting the children in the class on a more ad hoc basis, in order to ensure that our PSHE learning is tailored specifically to the children. We often link our PSHE learning to our three school rules of Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Ready, allowing the children to link their PSHE learning with their wider day to day life in school.
