Curriculum

This week (16th - 20th March) our focus book is Mrs Armitage on Wheels.

In Speaking and Listening this week, we have been focussing on making up our own stories to tell to the class. We dressed up in our favourite costumes and role-played outside making up imaginative scenarios. Please encourage your child to make up stories at home as this will really boost their speaking skills. We will be continuing this on Thursday for World Book Day.

This week (2nd - 6th March) we read the story The Go-Kart Race. We had a go at writing a simple sentence about the story.

Term 4

This week we are thinking about different modes of transport. We made a mind map and shared our ideas with our friends. We thought of hot air balloons, trams, diggers, motor bikes, ferries and lots more. We have been painting pictures of transport and reading stories featuring different types of transport.

From 27th - 31st January our focus book has been Supertato. The children have loved the adventures of Supertato and of course the Evil Pea!

From 20th - 24th January we have been learning all about Chinese New Year!

13th January - 17 January we have been learning about healthy eating. We made wonderful fruit salads with all the fruit you donated from home. Thank you!

Our first week back in school and it's the start of our Food topic! This week we read The Gingerbread Man.
